It's hard to believe it's 181 days since Disneyland in California closed, not that I'm counting. This truly is unprecedented and it's still hard to believe it's happened. I never realized how much my trips to Disneyland were helping keep me sane.
Since the parks have closed, I have struggled some with the lockdown, especially working from home and living alone. Once the parks reopen, I will definitely be there wearing a mask and social distancing. I will not be taking my trips to the park for granted again.
I was looking through some of my footage to figure out what video to post this week and I came across a trip I took on the Davy Crockett Canoes with Duke! Duke is a well known canoe guide and has worked at Disneyland for 11 years. I have been lucky enough to ride with him twice.
I really hope the canoes will be open when the parks reopen, but given the fact that it relies on everyone to participate, I wouldn't be surprised if they start up later after the parks reopen when things have settled down and it's safer.
