We may still be waiting for more new on the Disneyland reopening process, we have more information on Downtown Disney opening July 9th. They are abiding by California's reopening guidelines while also applying what they learned with Disney Springs reopening in Florida.
The updated hours are 10:00am - 8:00pm. This is definitely a change from Downtown Disney closing at 2:00am! However, I know I will be happy just to be in Downtown Disney again after suffering from Disney withdrawals from quarantine.
So far, World of Disney is the only place that is confirmed to be opening. We know other places will be open but again are still waiting for more information.
Here are the major changes to expect to the experience:
Limited parking and specific entrances will be opening. (Simba parking lot will be open for Downtown Disney.)
Temperature Screenings will be done prior to entry
Social Distancing measures will be in place (Distanced queues, limited seating and physical barriers at some locations)
Temporary Modifications including limited hours and suspension of entertainment and interactive areas
Increased cleaning and sanitization measures-there will be increase hand sanitizers and hand washing stations.
I look forward to hearing more on which stores will be open. Hopefully Salt & Straw will be so I can get some ice cream. (If you haven't tried their ice cream I highly recommend it.)
