Well, after 348 days, the Disney Parks in Anaheim are partially opening. We aren't close to reopening fully yet, but this is the most we have been able to see since the parks closed on March14th, 2020.
While we have known about the event for over a week due to information leaked from internal employee communications. It was odd to go so long without Disney making an official announcement. Typically Disney is on top of announcing this sort of thing.
Now in terms of the event itself in Disney California Adventure, we don't have a lot of information yet. In the announcement from Disney, we were informed that the event is "A Touch of Disney" and not a food event like we originally thought. The event does have food, but it also includes some music, and even a few character meet and greets. In terms of the food, some items that are typically at Disneyland will be available, such as the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo at the Jolly Holiday.
Tickets go on sale online March 4 and are $75. It's interesting that a specific time wasn't announced for the drop so we just have to hope we get lucky. I am certain this is because the demand is so high that if they announce the time, we will all crash the Disneyland website.
I am excited for the event and some food. I look forward to hearing more and hope to get tickets. What do you think? Is the new event worth it?
